Wal-Mart Gift cards get hacked

If you have an unused Wal-Mart gift card, perhaps waiting for the everyday low prices to get lower, well, it appears someone figured out how to cash out the value on some gift cards before they can be used. Wal-Mart isn't saying much,
but our guess is that someone pwn3d their database and is cranking out cards then heading off to low price mecca for some hardcore savings (free) or that the cards come in sequential order and there's some social engineering—on the customer service side.
