Down on GoVideo's 5GB Rave-MP ARC5.0 MP3 player
We weren't blown away by it either when we got to play with one a couple of months ago, but gear.ign.com harshes on GoVideo's new 5GB MP3 player, the Rave-MP
ARC5.0. The problem? Terrible audio quality that's bad no matter the bit rate or format of the files, which means that no matter how competitively priced this thing is, it's just not worth the money. Given how many other 4GB and 5GB
player have been bounced out since this was first announced (i.e. the
Rio Carbon,
Gateway's MP3 Photo Jukebox, the
Creative Zen Micro, and the
Dell Pocket DJ), this isn't really much of a contender if you're looking for an alternative to the
iPod mini.
