New Symbian trojan not all it's cracked up to be

For the second time in three months everyone is freaking out about a new trojan for Symbian-powered smartphones, and for the second time in three months there's a follow-up story several days after the initial news breaks about how the trojan might not actually be a trojan and instead might be a legitimate program rather than a piece of malware. You might recall how back in August there were a few stories about what everyone thought was a virus embedded in a game called "Mosquito" that turned out to just be a botched attempt by the game's maker to try and stop piracy. Now a few days after the news of the "Skulls Trojan", Symbian says that it might not be virus at all (since it doesn't replicate itself) and just be the result of shoddy programming. Either way, you probably don't want to download it, ok?
