2004 Interactive Fiction results in

Anyone over a certain age no doubt played text adventures on their computer. Screen upon screen of descriptive text explaining where you are, usually accompanied by some incredibly arcane syntax requiring you to figure out that the way past the 3 elves was "Use lamp on oil on chair while juggling 3 cats".

Well, believe it or not, in this day and age of eye candy like Doom 3, Halo 2, Half-Life 2, and lots of other games that sound more like sports scores, there is still a thriving text adventure scene. Every year, people compete to create the best text adventures, and this years results are out. So go live it up old school!
