MarsEdit 1.0 blog editor released

Ranchero Software, makers of the excellent NetNewsWire newsreader software, have released MarsEdit 1.0, a standalone blog authoring and editing application. MarsEdit completely replaces the blogging feature in NetNewsWire 1.x and, if you already own NetNewsWire 1.x, MarsEdit is completely free. Cool.

I'm excited to take MarsEdit for a test drive, as well as Ecto which had an update release last week. I used an early version of Ecto and the NetNewsWire built-in blogging feature and found neither of them to be quite up to snuff, so hoping these new releases will be able to provide a central blog management tool. Are there any bloggers out there who've tried either MarsEdit or Ecto and have a review or a comparison? Are there other GUI blog editing tools out there for OS X worth looking at?
