Burglars spooked by Grand Theft Auto

Either somebody finally found a non-controversial use for Grand Theft Auto or whoever wrote this story has seen
Home Alone a few too many times, but the local ABC affiliate in Houston is reporting about some incredibly incompetent burglers who tried to rob a house but a got a little spooked in the process:

The children happened to be playing a video game called Grand Theft Auto at the time. The game has dozens of
random police scanner messages, which blare out calls such as "This is the police! You're surrounded!" Believe it or
not, Wilson says the burglars heard that message and thought police were outside the door waiting for them...The
burglar, unknowingly, thought this was the actual police and panicked.

Definitely beats what we've doing lately to scare off burglars: paying that dude from Police Academy 
to make all sorts of crazy sound effects whenever there's anything suspicious going on outside.
