The DMC 8270 20GB MP3 player

How could it be practically the year 2005 and people are still coming out with MP3 players that look this, um,
junky? We try hard not to be such design snobs about this stuff, and the people at Digital Mind seem perfectly nice and all that, but there is something incredibly cringe-inducing about the DMC 8270, their new 20GB MP3 player. The specs are fine—support for MP3, WMA, and OGG playback, built-in FM tuner, direct MP3 encoding, 15 hour battery life—but at
$250 it's gonna be really rough convincing anyone they should buy this rather the
Rio Karma or the
Creative Zen Touch.
