Saudi Arabia lifting cameraphone ban?

Is Saudi Arabia close to lifting its ban on cameraphones? Authorities in the kingdom decided to illegalize the phones in late 2002 after noting the dramatic decline in morals after their introduction in other parts of the world
(it's amazing how teenagers never had sex before cameraphones were invented). They probably felt like it was worth it after a woman secretly taking pictures with a cameraphone sparked a massive brawl at a wedding back in July, but the ban hasn't exactly kept cameraphones out of people's hands—government officials even started going store to store confiscating them, but that only meant that shop keepers started keeping them in the trunks of their cars rather than actually in their stores. Anyway, last month four government ministers recommended that the ban be lifted, and the unofficial word is that it'll be replaced with new regulations preventing the "negative use of the camera equipment" in phones.
