Sony announces world's smallest miniDV camcorder, available in two models (DCR-PC55E and DCR-PC53E)
Sony's announced what they call the world's smallest and lightest miniDV camcorder. Available in two models,
the DCR-PC55E and DCR-PC53E (we're not yet sure of the diff), the camera is barely larger than a miniDV cassette but still includes a 3.0-inch LCD monitor. (Also announced was the DCR-DVD7E, a new DVD Handycam.) Both cameras come equipped with Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar lenses with 10X Optical Zoom. Look for the DCR-PC55E and DCR-PC53E in February and the DCR-DVD7E in May. In our hands. Like, forever.
