D-BOX armchair motion simulator
Sometimes 7.1 surround sound just isn't enough to fully immerse you in the movie, at least not according to D-BOX
Technology, who will have its Quest armchair motion simulator on display at next month's CES. For just $5,000 to start,
the Quest motion system will synchronize your seat with the images and sound on your home theater's display and physically move when scenes warrant it. Maybe it's just us, but when we here at Engadget have been fortunate enough to lay our rotund bottoms on similar technology, while it may be fun for the first minute, we got some slight motion sickness and just didn't see the point of our whole chair moving left and right during a car chase scene. Call us crazy, but we like to be undisturbed during our movies. Go figure.
