Philips's 190P6 sets LCD speed record: 8ms

Philips announced a new 19-inch monitor, the 190P6, which totally busts down the previous
16ms LCD pixel-response time by about half; they calculate the SXGA (1280x1024 pixel) monitor can therefore theoretically display 125 frames per second (not that it actually necessarily can handle that kind of data throughput). The screen also features LFDR (Light Frame Digital Reality) — their new image enhancing technology — and a remote display management utility for corporate IT staff. But how wasted would this display be sitting on the desk of any CEO (besides John Carmack, of course)?
