BenQ displays @ CES - Plasmas, LCDs, completely out of control
So we took a look at the BenQ booth (actually, it was really more of an open-air CES villa) and they were showing off all sorts of craziness. We've got so much new BenQ stuff we don't even know what to do with it all, so here it is,
BenQ displays on high (click to read on).
The Crazy Arm LCD monitor?no misnomer on that one?has seven USB-driven devices on attached arms; the devices are user-replaceable, and can include a webcam, speakers, card reader, fan, and light, but that won?t matter since you probably won?t be getting this thing anyway. Unless you?re crazy. Or like crazy arms.
This year BenQ?s been really pimping their new ?Senseye? imaging technology, which is featured in their higher end displays and promotes better viewing by automatically light metering to adjust darkness and contrast levels, among other things.
We were really into their new 17-inch FP72V display, which is a little busy looking but way more slick than almost anything else out there right now in the 4:3 aspect ratio arena. It too features Senseye, as well as a 1000:1 contrast ratio, SXGA resolution, an attachable webcam, speakers, and has D-Sub, DVI-D, and USB 2.0; it?ll hit in March for $600.
Anyone else reminded of the Lluon? What, BenQ, you didn?t think we?d know?
