Macworld dubs iDVD the
"relief pitcher" of the iLife suite: not as versatile as iMovie and iPhoto, not as hot hot hot as iTunes, and lacking the "rookie" appeal of Garageband. Nevertheless, iDVD is a solid and intuitive multimedia creation tool.

Among the important changes in iDVD '05: support for multiple DVD media formats, animated drop zones, better display of burn progress, 16:9 aspect ratio support, improved map view, and the ability to burn a DVD directly from the camcorder in one fell swoop.
