Half-Life 2 sells a few copies
There are hermits in deepest Madagascar that have had no human contact in 12 years, and yet, strangely, have heard of Half-Life 2. There's a man on an island somewhere who still thinks it's World War 2, and even he has heard of Half-Life 2. Which explains how come so many copies have flown off shelves. No, it's not poltergeists. It's customers. 1.7 million of them to be precise. That's in about two months. I'm sure Gabe is cracking open the bubbly as we speak. (I wonder if he still sleeps under his desk?)
However, there are no statistics available for folk who, rather than braving the vagaries of the real world, and actually having to deal with that most annoying of species, humans, chose to just download the game via Steam instead.
Though maybe this is due to the ongoing legal nonsense between Valve and Vivendi.
Regardless, Half-Life 2: It's sold lots!
