iRiver capitulates to iPod dominance

I've been seeing signs of MP3-player markdowns already. Here's an official decree from ReignCom Ltd., manufacturer of the iRiver players and Korea's largest MP3 player maker, who announced price slashes on its flash-memory based iRiver units by some 20 to 25 percent.

They have no corresponding plan to slash prices on their hard-disk MP3 products which, designated as "iPod-killers,"
are already legends in their own minds. Trouble is, they don't as yet seem to be legends in anyone else's mind...
