Microsoft hires writer

Hardly news, ordinarily. Except this is Microsoft hiring a writer for a big screen adaptation of Halo. They've picked up Alex Garland, whose credits include the magnificent 28 Days Later.

Microsoft plans to offers the rights and the script as a "turnkey" package to studios. Smart move.

For what it's worth, I typed turnkey as "turkey" initially. Simple typo? Or prophecy?
