Eidos bid countered

We reported yesterday that Eidos had been bought out by an ex-Electronic Arts head honcho. Now comes word that SCi, best known for the Carmageddon series, have now busted out a briefcase of cash and made a bigger offer than Elevation, the company that was buying Eidos a couple of days ago.

Elevation were offering 50 pence per share to Eidos. SCi have countered with a 53.6 pence per share offer.

Maybe Joystiq readers should band together and put in an offer. It seems like open season on Eidos right now.
