Terminal Tip: Tetris
All of C.K.'s Terminal
Tips
so
far have been very useful, too useful if you ask me.
I want to use my Mac for fun things, and the Terminal can be fun as well!
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Tetris:
abbottpc.com, a site with tips and tricks for both OS X and Windows had this
neat tip, so I thought I would reprint it here and let you all enjoy it, so here are the instructions via abbottpc.com:
Here it is:
1. Open a terminal window.
2. Type "emacs" and press enter.
3. Press escape+x.
4. Type "tetris" and press enter.
Now all you have to do is use the arrow keys to play.
- Left and right arrows move the piece side to side.
– Down arrow changes the way the piece will fall.
Pretty nifty, huh? And here's a fun fact about this post, that shot of the terminal isn't from my computer, rather it hails from Engadget phenom, and TUAW All-Star, Barb Dybwad's Mac.
