XM Satellite Radio partners with Hyundai

All U.S. models from Hyundai Motor will be getting integrated XM Satellite Radio by 2007, with three models to roll out the XM option in 2006: The Sonata, the Elantra and the Santa Fe. As opposed to other satellite radio auto matchups,
the XM-Hyundai deal will provide the equipment as standard equipment at no extra charge, as opposed to a dealer-installed option. Hyundai of America CEO Bob Cosmai said the company had considered providing an external connection for MP3 players (a la GM's line-in), but nixed the idea in favor of an "integrated setup" (read: proprietary).
