CherryOS to go open source
After being on hold for a very brief period, the
CherryOS project is now slated to re-emerge as an open source project. According to its website, the project will launch May 1 as open source, "due to overwhelming demand." That demand came primarily from the developers and users, and those familiar with,
PearPC, who cried foul when CherryOS was shown to have suspicious similarities to PearPC source code and was being offered as a commercial product without the modified source code in violation of the terms of the GPL.
