WinBook LC30D 30-inch LCD TV reviewed by PC Magazine

Add WinBook to the list of PC makers trying to cash in on demand for LCD TVs by putting out their own. In WinBook's case, the screens are decidedly low-budget, which is consistent with the way they price their computers. PC Magazine took a look at WinBook's 30-inch
PowerSpec LC30D and found that it offered good value for its price ($999 after rebate). While the review found that the display "doesn't deliver the best image quality we've seen," the LC30D won points for its black levels. With prices coming down across the board, you may be able to meet or beat this price in a few months, but if you're in the market now, and can live with the lack of HDMI, a 600:1 contrast ratio and a high color temperature, this one sounds like it might be worth a look.
