Sirius to Apple: Let's talk about podcasting

So there's a whole new batch of
"Sirius and Apple in talks" rumours circling about yet again, with folks speculating about some sort of
satellite iPod in the works, even though
Apple has already put the ixnay on the satellite iPod
idea. However, one of the more interesting and actually practical speculations is that Sirius might be looking to get some of its original content available via iTunes now that
iTunes 4.9 will add support for downloading podcasts.
This makes a lot more sense than yet another stab at a satellite iPod, especially considering the larger trend towards delivering satellite radio content to places other than proprietary satellite receivers, such as to your
desktop or
cellphone.
