UI Craziness in Tiger

Brent Simmons, of Ranchero Software makers of NetNewsWire, has been posting a bunch of very good posts about user interface inconsistencies that he has noticed cropping up in Tiger. Sure these are little things, but isn't that Apple's bread and butter?

Mac users are a discerning lot, and we like our UI's to be, above all, consistent. It seems that Apple has decided that cool looks are more important that consistency and that is why we find ourselves with several different button styles, differing smartfolder interfaces, and a bunch more.
