Track your digital wardrobe, RFID-style
Oh yeah, RFID, think you can track us? We'll track you! Chantal Mora's Digital Wardrobe is all about reclaiming Big Brother's technology for more, um,
useful purposes — like making sure to never repeat an outfit. A database keeps track of the tags and garments, and an RFID reader installed in your door automagically sends data to your PC on your current outfit. Later on, it's fun for the whole family when you can check out the resulting "garment narrative," replete with how the outfit was accessorized as well as the "cost per use" based on original cost and wear frequency. Okay, maybe some people really need this, but for the rest of us humble masses — isn't there some metadata about ourselves that we just don't need to know? Though we suppose it will save time chipping our threads when we trade them in.
