In-ear sound isolating earphones reviewed
If you take music at all seriously, you probably threw away the cheap earbuds that came with your digital audio player as soon as you opened the box. But what did you replace them with? While we favor bulky DJ-style headphones, we acknowledge they're not for everyone. So, we're glad that ExtremeTech has put together a guide to one of the more compact alternatives out there: in-ear sound isolating earphones. The site checked out a half-dozen models, from the $15 Koss Plug ("even at only $15, they're a bad deal") to the pictured $300 Shure E4c ("an excellent affordable option"). Well worth a read before you stick something in your ear that you might later regret.
