Chris Adamson continues discussing what's new in Quicktime 7, this time focusing on What's New For Developers in QuickTime by discussing "some of the most prominent changes from a developer point of view, including: the QTKit API for Cocoa, the new QuickTime MetaData API, support for frame reordering codecs, Core Audio-based sound enhancements, and QuickTime for Java."

The coolest part of this, I think, is the following: "QTKit, which significantly increases the number of things you can do in Cocoa and Objective-C, without needing to resort to more difficult C calls to QuickTime itself." Don't have to resort to C? That sounds like my level of very novice development!
