Canon's DC10 and DC20 DVD camcorders
We can't imagine why lovable old Canon would announce two new DVD camcorders—apparently the smallest devices of their kind in the world—for all their markets but America, but that's apparently exactly how they swung it today with their new DC10 and DC20. The DC10 has a 10x zoom,
1/3.9-inch 1.3 megapixel CCD, and records MPEG-2 video to DVD, while the DC20 has a 1/4-inch 2.2 megapixel CCD, color filter, flash, and video strobe in addition to. We're not sure how much they gonna go for, but if you've got to go DVD,
it might be worth an import just to avoid the grotesque design of
Sony's DCR-DVD7E. Besides, how long can they really hold out selling these things here, anyway?
