71-inch 1080p DLP from Samsung

The boys over at Engadget have a great little article up about a new Samsung DLP (SVP-71L8UH) that will display 1080p on a gorgeous 71-inch screen. Samsung managed to increase the contrast ratio to 10,000:1 at the same time raising the brightness by 20%. Even with all these new advancements, the TV weighs a full 6 pounds less than its older (HL-R7178W) counterpart. Sure is a nice looking TV and will be available stateside sometime in September with a price of $7350.
