NYTimes reviews wireless remote monitoring devices

When you're on vacation, you can drop the kids at grandma's and Millie at a cat spa, but who's looking after your complete first edition of Garbage Pail Kids? The New York Times Circuits section decided to round up the latest solutions in wireless home monitoring for this very purpose; they take a look at several units from Linksys, D-Link,
Panasonic and Motorola. All models tested allow for remote viewing of your pad via any web-enabled device, but image quality varies among the bunch. The best systems, by Panasonic and LinkSys, have motorized bases that let you tilt and pan from afar. Sounds like you need a degree in Comp. Sci. to get the absolute most out of some of these, but that's a small price to pay for peace of mind, right?
