Thanko adds pink MP3 watch to PowerDisk line
Lest we think Thanko had given up on the massive and lucrative market for MP3 watches, the company has now targeted a new market: women. The PowerDisk pink MP3 watch is available for a mere $175, and comes with 256MB of RAM.
Sure, we could see some of the ladies we know wearing this one (though we can't imagine them snaking headset wires, IV
drip style, up from their wrists). But most of them already have iPod minis, which came in a range of female-friendly colors. (And some have even proven bold enough to go with other brands, using products that — shudder — aren't target-marketed specifically to women.) And judging from Apple's decision to make the nano in just two colors, it looks like the company has decreed black to be the new pink. So, nice try Thanko. Look forward to seeing these in the clearance bin.
