Hudson assaults GBA with retro revival

Hudson will release a six volume "Hudson Best Collection" over a period of 43 days in Japan. The list includes:

  • Vol. 1: Bomberman Collection (Bomberman, Bomberman II)

  • Vol. 2: Lode Runner Collection (Lode Runner, Championship Load Runner)

  • Vol. 3: Action Collection (Challenger, Meikyu Kumikyoku)

  • Vol. 4: Nazotoki Collection (Nuts & Milk, Binary Land, Salad no Kuni no Tomato
    Hime
    )

  • Vol. 5: Shooting Collection (Star Force, Star Soldier, Hector '87)

  • Vol. 6: Boukenjima ("Adventure Island") Collection (Takahashi Meijin no Boukenjima I, II, III &
    IV
    )

But is yesteryear worth 2940 yen (about $25) a pop? The truth is, if you love these games enough to want to buy the GBA re-release, than you probably already bought them once for NES/Famicon years ago. Is it wrong for a publisher to charge you twice? Doesn't this tempt you to just get a Flash Card, install some free software, and download the free ROMs?
