Fujitsu Ten's "Dual Display" navigation system
Here's one of the first applications of that "Dual Display" technology
announced by Sharp back in July. Fujitsu Ten will be releasing the "AVN7905HD" navigation system in Japan, which allows the driver and passenger to see two different images on the same screen at the same time. While the passenger watches a DVD, for example, the driver can keep an eye on the GPS map as they find their way. The 800 x 480 resolution of the screen will drop to 400 x 480 when you turn this feature on, but since the technology is still in its infancy, that's fine by us. Who needs compromise when you've got technology?
