Xyron Design Runner handheld fabric printer

Amateur T-shirt designers and scrapbookers will soon have a
new tool in their arsenals (move over, old stencils) when the Xyron Design Runner fabric printer from Esselte hits
shelves this December. This handheld printing press (and not a concept for a future Venus razor, as we'd first
thought) can also write directly to wood, clay, and wallpaper with acid-free ink from Lexmark, but unfortunately
for rainbow lovers, only prints in black and white (i.e. black, although red and green ink cartridges are
available separately). A sample disk featuring 40 designs is included in the package, with 12 other disks
available for $40 each (it's unclear whether or not you can print your own designs, though). Your $140 also gets
you a docking station, and also rather unfortunately, two non-rechargable 9-volt batteries.
