Linksys WUSBF54G WiFi finder and network adapter

We can only assume that the bottom has completely fallen out of the WiFi-finder market. How else to explain the fact that Linksys has now joined ZyXEL and
Hawking and Trend in announcing a WiFi-finder that also doubles as a network adapter? The idea, according to Linksys and all the others, is that you can point the thing around in front of you until you find a good signal and then plug it into your laptop for a quick connection. Of course, what all of these manufacturers fail to mention is that you've probably already got a WiFi adapter built into your laptop if you've bought it within the past two years, and that if you're that desperate for a WiFi-finder, you can pick one up for as little as $10 (down from $25 the last time we told this tale), rather than the $80 Linksys is asking for this unit.
