Xbox Live to get some downtime

In preparation for the launch of Xbox 360, Xbox Live and Xbox.com will be offline for 24 hours (October 24th). When both services relaunch, they'll be equipped to handle the new features being ushered in by the Xbox 360—My Xbox won't go live until Halloween or shortly thereafter. So if you find yourself feeling tricked on the 24th, just know that you'll soon be
treated to some next-gen goodness. Unfortunately, annual Live subscribers will have to sacrifice 14 cents
(roughly a day's value) to get it.
