Oct 22: What's on HDTV today

What we're watching
:
Take your pick; you can catch Chicago on NBC or Chicago on Fox; both in high-def. How is that possible? Simple! Fox
is kicking off the World Series with Game 1 at 7:30 p.m. in 720p. The Houston Astros are in their first-ever World Series and they hoof it up to the Windy City to take on the WhiteSox. I'll catch the first few innings at the very least.

At 8:00 p.m., you can switch over to NBC
for the 2002 Best Picture, "Chicago." This 1080i broadcast is a remake of the 1975 Broadway musical. Who would have ever thought we'd see singing and dancing from top actors like Richard Gere, Renee Zellweger and Catherine Zeta-Jones? The now known as "Mrs. Michael Douglas" won Best Support Actress Academy Award for her role.

After the jump is our traditional listing of HD programs throughout the night.
