One year ago today on Engadget….

It's been a bit of a slow week for gadget news, so we thought it'd be a hoot to take a trip in the wayback machine to check out some of what we were yammering on about on Engadget exactly one year ago today:

• We were all hot and bothered by some videos of the
  Nintendo DS in action, while the PSP got a Japanese
  release date.

• Sprint promised to uncripple Bluetooth on the Treo
  650 (a promise they eventually more or less
  kept).

• Samsung introduced its fashiony Diane von
  Furstenberg phone.

• Ross Rubin successfully predicted that the iPod
  Photo would put the Apple on the path towards a video-enabled iPod.

• Two became one today when Cingular and AT&T
  Wireless finalized their merger.

• Billboard announced a Hot Ringtones chart.
