One year ago today on Engadget….
It's been a bit of a slow week for gadget news, so we thought it'd be a hoot to take a trip in the wayback machine to check out some of what we were yammering on about on Engadget exactly one year ago today:

We were all hot and bothered by some videos of the
Nintendo DS in action, while the PSP got a Japanese
release date. -
Sprint promised to uncripple Bluetooth on the Treo
650 (a promise they eventually more or less
kept). -

Ross Rubin successfully predicted that the iPod
Photo would put the Apple on the path towards a video-enabled iPod. -

Wireless finalized their merger. -
Billboard announced a Hot Ringtones chart.
