TiVo patent for personalizing remotes, DVRs with RFID

TiVo seems to have found another use for those RFID chips we'll all soon have implanted in our arms: RFID-enabled remote controls and PVRs that adjust their functions/content based on who is using them. In a recently uncovered patent application, TiVo promotes this technology for commercial uses like personalizing hotel TV content, which in theory could allow you to stay in any Hilton in the world and have your prefs (and possibly even your recordings)
automatically follow you around. If this idea ever makes it to consumer products, it would allow parents to record all the late-night Cinemax they wanted, while Junior could only peep kid-friendly fare like That's So Raven, Lizzie McGuire, or Spy Kids when he/she has the remote.
