Teac's $6,000 Esoteric UX-3 SACD/CD/DVD/DVD audio player

If you've got money to burn, have been able to find more than five SACD or DVD audio discs that you might actually want to listen to, and don't mind buying equipment that will be rendered obsolete once Blu-ray or HD-DVD audio discs hit the market (okay, that could be a long wait), you could do worse than Teac's $6,000 Esoteric UX-3 SACD/CD/DVD
audio/DVD player. It includes a precision-weighted duralumin turntable, 24-bit DAC and a full set of outputs, including optical audio, coaxial, DVI and component video. Oh, and if you think $6K is a bit much to spend on something designed to support dying formats, you can always opt for the X-03, which only handles SACDs (and conventional CDs), and will set you back a mere $5,500.
