Sony yanks PlayStation 3 games listing from its website

Earlier this week, Sony posted a list of 6 PlayStation 3 titles slated for 2006 release on its Japanese website. That list has since been removed without explanation. While it wasn't exactly worthy of crapping your pants over, the short list did feel like a valid attempt to assure the gaming public that the PS3 is gonna launch this year. Now that the list has disappeared, we're back to playing guessing games.

All that GamesIndustry.biz could squeeze out of a Sony spokesperson about the incident was: "We are working on the launch of PlayStation 3 and a confirmed list of titles will be announced at the appropriate time." Guess it just wasn't the time...
