Google Notifier Tip: Increasing the Number of Displayed Messages

David Phillip Oster, the author of the Google Notifier menubar application, has penned (keyboarded?) a nice little entry on the Official Google Mac Blog in which he describes some of his thinking behind his design decisions. But best of all is his little Easter Egg. It is possible to increase the number of messages displayed in the menubar drop down pane to 20 from the default of 4, reducing the need to mouse through to the "View More" sub-menu. I followed his instructions easily enough, as it merely requires you to invoke a hidden Defaults Editor by selecting the program's Preferences while holding down the Command and Option keys and to type in some changed values.
