WAR crafting guide: Cultivating

There are four gathering skills, and three of them are straightforward, and very easy to grasp. Yet Cultivating is one that we want to spend an entire page on, considering it is almost as involved as a production crafting skill.

Cultivating is basically farming, but with one plant or fungus at a time on up to four plots. You start off by left-clicking your Cultivating skill icon which brings up your four plot window. Starting out, you'll only have access to one plot, so we'll work with that for now. Click on the plot and you'll open a pleasant little graphical cross-section of your farming area. Place a seed or spore in the upper left slot and your plant will begin to grow. At different stages in its growth, you can add soil, water or nutrients to enrich the seed. The time it takes a seed to grow into a plant can be a time-consuming process (especially later!), but can be done even when the crafting window is closed or you're logged out of the game. Once the growth time is finished, simply click Harvest and you'll get a nice new plant or fungus to use as an ingredient in your Apothecary trade.
