Japanese hardware sales, Oct. 12 - Oct. 18: Almost pure evil edition
We place equal amounts of stock in the practices of numerology and demonology — that amount being very little, mind you — but even we were perturbed by the digits which appeared in this week's Japanese hardware sales chart. From what we know of the teachings of Iron Maiden, six-hundred and sixty-six is like, the evilest number there is. We're almost certain that if you say it three times, the devil jumps out of the ground, and says really mean things about your shoes.
Imagine our terror as we read over the following chart. If one turns the sales reduction of the DSi upside-down — there's one! If one less person would have bought a PS3 this week — there it is again! If you add 360 (like, from the Xbox 360) to the system's sales increase, then you take the number of letters in "DS Lite" and add that to the sales reduction of the PS2, and then you subtract that number from the first number — oh, no, here he comes!
"What? These shoes? These are Sketchers. What? No, Sketchers are still really cool! You ... you're a jerk, you know that, Lucifer?"
